I DO still exist

Hey everyone ... I was sorta on hiatus for a while there. With the renaissance festival in town I hardly had time for posting. Now that it is over, I can get my butt in gear & get back into the swing of things!

Sapphire is doing well. She has learned a few new words, with her favorite being "ow". When she is being stubborn & not wanting to step up, she will often bite/pinch too hard while grumbling at me. I usually tell her "Ow gentle" and as a result now, she says ow in the funniest cute voice. She has also said "buh bye" but only once & now won't say it again. Her vocabulary seems to be getting better/clearer more & more each day. It's funny to think back when I was deciding on a name for her & was concerned if Sapphire was too hard for her to say. Now it is ALL she says.

It seems to be part of every sentance.

I am learning her ways of communication & am often facinated by how darn smart she is! One day I was holding her & asked her if she was hungry & wanted to eat and she started bouncing & shook her head yes. I thought coincidence maybe so a couple days later, I asked her again & she responded the same way! I was actually able to catch in on video!

She is still climbing down off her playgym & is very persistant. She knows what she wants & when she wants it. She tries to push every button possible, yet I can't seem to be mad at her. ACK - I've been hooked!

Like tonight for example ... I was filling one of her dishes with some nuts for her bedtime treat. She kept climbing down off the playgym so I brought her into the dining room with me (I won't let her climb down & come to me unless someone is in the room watching her because of the cat (although more often then not, she is the one who teases the cat). Anyway, I put her up on my shoulder so I had use of both hands. I don't do this very often as she tends to play a dominancy game when she is there. I was cracking nuts & she wanted one so she kept kissing me until I gave her one. lol

Beyond that though - she still won't let me put her harness on her.

All in all she is doing good! Here are a couple pictures of her taken over the last couple months. As soon as I reinstall my video converter I will put a couple videos up as well!!
