Cool

then give it away? You may think it's not very pretty now, but it's gonna be a beautiful bird!

You will not give it away! How old is it? They are pretty birds even without all of their feathers.

Makes me miss my cockatiels. My daughter was allergenic to the birds so we gave them to my grandmother and uncle.

Cool

The plan is to give it to my Dad for Christmas - but if he and/or Mom says "No Way" - I guess I'll have to bring it back home. But I'm sending myself "don't get too attached" vibes!!

I'm with the others. A baby steals your heart and never gives it away, no matter what kind of baby it is.

We were at the grocery store yesterday, and as we were leaving my husband heard a child's voice call out, "Free rotweiler puppies." I said put me in the car. I know if I saw them, I would want one. Not like I can acutally have one in our over-crowded apartment.

Must be the mother's instinct kicking in.

That is crazy! I don't know how breeders do it. It makes me sad thinking about it. Good luck to you though!

Cool

Why do you think Bub has never let me breed any of our animals??? And we ended up with 7 cats because I would bring abandoned kittens home to "socialize" them then cry when it was time to take them back.

The people we got the birds from were telling Bub how much money we could make on just breeding and selling parrotlets - - -I don't need to hear that! I keep telling myself I don't have a place to put them, no one to keep them if we go out of town, etc.

My heart is way too soft!
