Introducing y Birds

I’m on a roll introducing all my animals so now I’m to the birds. I absolutely love birds and find the amount of intelligence they show amazing. I currently have four and here they are…

These are my newest rescues. I got them from a lady and her family that had them in a cage together about 12X12 with one perch and no toys for four years. They fought viciously both being females and during breeding season in a small cage. They are untamed and the Blue one Zhaan has had her tip of her toes mutilated by Fen, the green one. She has a few toenails that go the wrong direction. I’m slowly working with them to try and tame them. They both have new cages and I’m going to be ordering a really big as soon as I make room for it in the living room and when I can be sure they can live together.

So this is Zhaan

This is Fen

This is Piper my cockatiel. He’s about 2 years old. I got him from a breeder that was afraid she wasn’t going to be able to find him a home because he was older. He’s a sweetheart.

Here he is stealing some chicken off my mom’s plate. Isn’t he such a cute little cannibal?

And here’s Calypso, My baby Sun Conure. I had been researching Suns for about three years and was finally able to get one this summer. He’s a brat but incredibly cute. He loves to curl up under my neck, roll over and go to sleep all the while holding one of my fingers in his mouth.

Your cockatiel is adorable, cannibal or not. And the poor budgies! I bet it feels really good to have rescued them. I want to do the same.
And your Conure is gorgeous, his feathers are so bright!

Thanks!
Yes Calypso is bright, but just wait till he looses his baby feathers and gets his gold ones in.
Yes I’ve always thought Piper pulled off the cannibal look very well, better than most at least
