Lucky the Cockatoo

Here is my Bestfriend Lucky, He is 10 years old, He is a special bird, he his handicapped, He was abused as a baby, Breeder dropped him and broke both his feet. So he can't perch but he can walk and hang on well, he just can't hold things in his feet, But you try to tell him that...lol

That's sad. But he's gorgeous! Cockatoos are the best! Is he a talker? There is a sulfur crested one at the pet store and he says a bunch.

He says a few things, He was just pushed to the side until he was rescued and then I adopted him. We went all the way to CT. to get him, He was so worth it. Of course I have asthma now, due to Lucky's feather, but I don't care. So my doctor says anyway. Lucky has a bad vocabulary, He cuses you out....lol. Which he did that before we got him...lol. Moluccan Cockatoos are harder to teach new words too as they get older, But Lucky thinks he is human, what does he needs word for. He just screams his name and we know what he wants.

What a beautiful bird. I have heard tales about them causing health problems. At the Bird Shop where we go for trims they have one for sale because it made his owner so sick - but the owner said if no one bought him soon he'd take him back and deal with it because he missed him so much.

O I think that is the prettiest bird ever..how lucky!!!
