Photos! My baby cockatiel growing

He hatched on december 9th and is now 13 days old. Hes growing like a weed. I will be pulling him for handfeeding at 3 weeks of age. Cant wait . Thought i would show you guys his growth so far

day 11 - 12/19/08 yup thats right. im a lutino baby!! And im covered in pin feathers!


today i took him out wrapped him in a baby blanket and snuggled with him for 10 minuts. He still has the typical baby attitude. shrieking at you for a few minuts then hissing at you if you even make a sudden move. he will get used to it once i handfeed. It still amazes me how fast he grows. everytime i take him out hes even bigger. The parents are so great. they take amazing care of him.

Adorable! I rember when my tiels were just eggs..it was wonderful to watch them hatch so small and then get fluff on their little bodies. When they get their pin feathers it is silly looking, isnt it?!
They had really good parents as well....very dedicated and loving. They do grow into little tiels so quickly! I took lotz of pics and vids of my babies for memories.
Today they are all spoiled rotten and I love them soooooo much! I think that they actually think that they are human sometimes.

it is amazing. I look at the baby everyday and my heart goes pitter patter. I ran into a breeder friend today and was talking to her about the baby and told her how one of my friends was looking for a lutino baby and i said she could have one of mine(I ment next clutch or so not the only baby that hatched this time lol). Her eyes went REALLY wide and she was like. YOUR NOT SELLING YOUR FIRST BABY ARE YOU!?!? lol Anyone whos bred birds knows how special the first baby is. Its really like having a real baby. and itll become even more when i have to wake up every 4 hours to feed the baby!! lol. I wrapped him in a baby blanket and showed him to my fiance. hes only seen him once since the birds trust me with the baby and know my scent but they dont know his. I only took him out once with him. So he was amazed at seeing how big her was. He called him a little alien lol. which he does look like ^.^

Once its old enough to DNA I will name him or her. I its a boy it will be Yule(like yule brenner from the king and I) and if its a girl it will be Holly. going for a seasonal theme . I will get her used to alot of things from an early age get her nice and socialised. especially with the harness. my other birds wont accept it. Itll be great since ill be able to bring her outside without fear of her flying away since i want to keep her flighted
