i have a parokeet and his beek is growing funny and i have all sort of chewws and toys for him

Chews are good as well as cuttlebone and mineralchews. They have some that come in combination form..cuttlebone in the middle surrounded by mineral treat.


If you take it to an avian vet he/she might be able to trim the beak down if it is really overgrown.

How old is your parakeet? Is it still able to eat properly?
Do you think you could post a picture of your parakeet?

hes almost a year old and he has a cuddle bone and a citrus chew buty i did take some nail clipers and trim his beak on the bottom cuz it was goiong out sideways and he has started eating alot more and seems hapier and i put some sand paper on his pirch and he is rubbing his beak on it so i thinl he will be fine but if it gets worse il take him to a vet

Sometimes beaks grow a little crooked for reasons you can't control (ie genetics).

If it causes a problem, or looks like it will eventually cause problems with his eating or drinking, you should have a vet look at it before it gets too serious. If it is a slight malformation, a good vet can usually do some shaping that can correct it. Don't wait too long. If the bird gets weak from being unable to eat or drink, that will make any fix a lot more difficult.
