tiel nesting box

We just found our boy cockatiel is a girl and has begun laying eggs, she has laid a total of 2. We put a make shift nest on the floor of her cage using a shirt we wrapped into a circle. Does she need to have a nesting box? We are not sure if we want to breed her. I have read that we need to let her have her eggs for 10 days after she lays her last one. We are giving her supplements, calcium and vitamins.
