Tv?

Do your fids react to the TV? Do they watch intently? Do they get loud when they hear something on the TV? Do they react to anything in particular on the TV? Do they completely ignore it?

Toby's not super interested in TV but he seems to like watching American Idol, we think it's because of the singing (he loves music). He gets real excited when some people sing and whistles at the pretty girls (little flirt!).

Hmmm. I have wondered if this is actually good for them. Kiki likes watching little children's programs in the morning sometimes.

Both Nikki and Nikko respond to the TV and even more so when they are together. Children's shows are a sure hit but so are any sirens, other birds, animal sounds etc...

Most of all -- VIDEO GAMES -- with three teens in the house and an xbox freak for a husband... Nikki and Nikko are video game sound fanatics ..... and to top it off they make the human cheering and groaning sounds of wins and losses right along with it lol

My Mollucan Cockatoo's cage is near the TV. The cage door opens down onto the top of one of the dog's kennel, which sits right next to the TV. From the top of the kennel, the bird can watch TV. She's only interested when there are other parrots or predators.

One time in particular, we were watching footage of a falcon diving, and it flew off the edge of the screen closest to her. She gave a loud scream and took a header right off the kennel onto the rugs below it. There are several layers down there to catch droppings (and falling cockatoos). So no harm was done to anything but her ego.

She climbed halfway up the corner of her cage and gave alarm cries everytime the falcon was shown for the rest of the show.

One of my dogs is also very attentive to the TV, especially if their are other dogs running on it.

One time, our dog vet was on TV, and both dogs were attentively sitting in front of it watching her be interviewed.

...and my wife says they could care less anytime I've been on TV. That's loyalty for you!

Beekle reacts sometimes. For some reason he reacts most to the BBC TV show "Keeping up Appearences". For some reason the bird sounds on that show really get him going.

He didn't react at all to an Australian cop show set in the outback. Weird since i could hear budgies.

Nope I don't think mine really care, I think they are more interested in how we react towards a program.

My roommate's quaker parrot, Ernie, has MAJOR separation anxiety issues. She is on vacation in Pensacola right now and had me turn the birds' tv onto cartoons. I think it has helped Ernie some. He's been squaking uncontrollably since she left, poor thing.
