I most probably told you gals before but about a week ago my new Sunny face budgie girl escaped from her cage.
Naturaly I blamed myself for this disaster , thinking I had left her out after previously having her out later in the day , coming home to find blood all over her after she escaped from a badly designed seed holder and had landed on Dickies cage.
Well I cant get the standard seed container by order from Perflast , the most likely reason being the woman at the shop could'nt be ar$ed as her catalogue was too old and to me it seemed she had'nt got a new one .
Well Victoria's toe tip has turned black and I have noticed her nail has too.

Will it fall awf ?
Or should I take her to the vets this coming week , or will it still yet heal.

I have no idea about birds and their feet so i cant actually help you BUT i am hoping all works out ok and Victoria gets better REALLY REALLY soon! x

If her toe tip is black she definitely needs to see a vet. It could be infected and/or necrotic. Take her in as soon as you can. Good luck with her.

Well I took Victoria to the vets yesterday and this new girl is a nice sort and she said Victoria's toe will eventualy dry out and Fall Awf !
just as I had expected.

Nether the less I will keep an eye on her just in case she has to go back next week , Mon or Fri.
Shame , she was such a pretty little thing until she went and done a silly thing like escape her cage through her food thing and get her foot Chomped on by my Dickie.
And I was convinced I had left her out because I had had her out that morning.
Will have to make modificatons too her cage now.

It's alarming that your vet told you to just let it fall off. Is this an avian vet you are seeing? At the very least the vet should have given you antibiotics. |

Yes well I did ask about Antibiotics but she felt she knew otherwise.
I mean how can you knock out a bird with gas to do an opperation on it.
Im keeping an eye on her anyway.
