We brought home a new birdie- a Sun Conure

Hi All....We went to a bird fair yesterday and we fell in love with a baby Sun Conure....just being weaned at 9 weeks old today. I have hand fed baby birdies before so I was prepared to feed this one a little "formula" yesterday after we got him/her home! He is doing so good today eating his seeds and pellets....so maybe yesterday he was just adjusting to all the new surroundings and needed that reassurance of "mommy".
We have loved these sun conures for a year and we just couldn't resist this one.
I have him seperated from our cockatiels but they can hear each other so I'm sure that is comforting to the new baby.
We don't have a name picked out yet....Any suggestions?

Sun Conures are such beautiful birds...and so smart too!!
Momma Ellen, a PT'er here has a Sun Conure names Leeloo..she is adorable.

Once we see a pic of your bird it will be easier to help you come up with a name for your fid.

We decided on Keeya Tuscson for the name....with help!
She is doing so good this first week. I weighed her again this morning and she has gained almost 6 grams! What a lover bug. I never knew a bird could act so silly and love to sleep on their back!
