What to do with my Cockatiels?

I have 6 cockatiels and we are going away for the winter to florida.

Which is the best option?

1.Leave the birds with a someone who said she would watch them in her home. This means bringing them out in December.
2. Traveling with them for 4 days by car from NY to Florida.
3. Leaving them at home in a 60 degree house. My neighbor could feed them every other day.

mm I'm not sure what would be better... but I think I'd either opt for leaving them at someones house who said they would watch them if you are going away for the whole winter. If it's only a little holiday or whatever then I would leave them in your house (only my opinion though I really have no idea what would be best)

I agree with winter.........if its only for a few days leave them at your house and let whoever go and feed them etc but if its for the whole winter let them go to the person that said they would look after them......just go for the less stressful option for you circumstance! xx

it depends on if you can really trust the person who would take them. i'd probably take them with. we have an amazon, not a cockatiel, but bell gets really upset if someone just comes in and feeds her and then leaves again. in fact, it caused quite a problem in our apartment building one time when we were on vacation. i think bell would have prefered the trouble of being hauled to florida.
