Aww Nicole - I wish you could hear Toby! He sounds like a little girl when he talks! LOL Some of what he says sounds exactly like me - it's pretty neat!

Thanks Raiquee - that's so sweet! Toby does talk with us. It's quite hilarious - one of the reasons we always say he's a clown. He's just so comical. If I walk by him and don't pick him up (heaven forbid) he says "Come here! Step up!" (step up is the command we use to have him step up on our hands - I'm sure you know that but others may not). Or another attention getter....he'll hollar "hello" or "hey bird" really long and drawn out with a question type of intonation. When I'm in another room and he hears me he'll hollar at me until I come say hi or at least talk to him from the other room. LOL I could go on and on with stories so I better stop for now!!

Carmen - I haven't had a night away from Toby in a year and a half.
Although...we would like to take a long weekend soon. Since we just bought our house last year, we're trying to save our money to do stuff around the house and spending money on a vacation is just not a top priority right now. Luckily I had a nice 2 week vacation on the ocean shortly before Toby came home with us! We will take vacations though.... I just need to find a trustworthy bird sitter! I will pay well - wanna come watch him??

Btw - we don't have any "real" kids - but like a lot of ya'll here, we consider our animals our kids. If we're someday able to have a child, I would hope he/she would want to take Toby though!

Toby is such a character and just the way you talk about him you can tell how much you love him.

Reminds me of the moluccan we had in hawaii. (actually we had 3 moluccans, 2 scarlets, 1 hyacinth, 1 umbrella and a bunch of lovebirds and two parakeets and two horses LOL) But Peaches said the most. She made up a nickname for me. She only said two names Laura (my mom) and Amber (me) and one day she started calling me AMBIIIIIRRRRRRRRDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!! LOL She would yell it if I left the room. I hope I can get my tiel to talk! Shes about 6 months now, nothing yet.

I 've been saying good morning and good night to my baby for a long time, finally one nightI went to bed and he said good night too me even before I shut the light out and said "G'Night" to him...it is soooo fujnny, took me by total surprise, now I can understand what he is sayin, as I have a he aring aid!@!!!
