I came home tonight after seeing our new baby nandate(so cute) and help feeding it and spending time with my brother's baby green wing(loud lil bugger).
When we walked up to our porch i noticed above the door on a little ledge a fuzzy ball of fur,at first i thought it was a hairy pinecone lol....I looked closer and it seems to be some sorta baby bird,but he is alone and the ledge he is on is barely big enuff for a small mouse to walk on.Theres a plaqe of a cross and he has nuzzled close to it.Ive checked on him a few times tonight.We decided to leave him alone and see if the mother comes to get him soon.There is no nest or anything and he looks as if his feathers have just come in.Just really wierd for a solo baby bird to perch there.Wanted to pick him up so bad an feed him and sit him next to a warm bird buddy...but i know its better not too! You just feel bad knowing he's cold
