Question

5 Gallon Tank

I have a 5 gallon tank laying around, and I thought I should use it for something. I was wondering if I can keep any rodent at all in a 5 gallon? It seems kinda of small, but I'm asking anyways to be sure. Thank you!

I don't think there is any rodent that would do nicely in a 5 gallon tank.

You could for a mouse if you build something up. a mouse would like to have the bottom for nesting and then you can build a wire something up to have several levels, and a wheel and things. But as is not much fits well in a 5 gal.

Yeah you could keep a mouse or two and just get a tank topper, a tall one!

i don't know if they make tank toppers for 5 gal tanks. I think you would have to make one your self, which it may be easier just to make a whole cage hehe.

As other posters said ^ you could even get a male mouse and build a wire top, or even a small hamsters cage the top half of it? and secure it on, im sure you could get one of them in any garage sale or charity shop! Good luck!
