Antibiotics

Antibiotics are drugs or chemical substances which inhibit the growth or destroy many types of dangerous organisms. Many occur naturally in the world while others are synthetic or man-made. They are used primarily to fight bacterial infections. Antibiotics are miracle drugs in the sense that without them many seemingly minor infections and diseases would be fatal.
