hi everyone, i have 6 field mice after years of just having 3.I thought they were all females , 1 very tame until another wounded one was found, I took BOOboo out of the cage with the Domestic mice & started a Wildlife home.Slowly poor little Booboo noticed how the wilder deer mice feared me & sadly she became fearful of me,with her 3 little legs (one was gone, but by kindness of one special little mouse that stood by her day after day,I realized she had made a full recovery!
Anyhow i have 3 grown mice, two of them had babies for a total of 6. how can i tell the sexes apart? also, how should i seperate them so they don't multply further? thanks!

Why are you keeping wild mice anyway???

Males and females can reproduce at about 5 weeks old.Males will have a wider space apart at the genitals then females and there will be visible testicles.

i didn't plan on keeping them, i started out with the three...the first one was injured and both of his paws are not usable & the other two were found in my backyard as tiny tiny babies (i am assuming the mother was killed by one of the cats) since they were very young and barely had their eyes open. i wasn't sure whether to let them go so i have them in a huge tank where they seem to be quite happy. i had no idea that they were have babies, so i may let them go
