I use Suebee's Mix for my rats. I've been using this (or a variation of this) for 10 years now and have always had happy, healthy rats.

corgimom will become famous soon enough
My girl rats were always picky. They'd eat the bigger stuff and leave the smaller seeds and green pellets in the rat mix. So I'd inspect every bag of every food at the store and buy whichever one had the least small stuff. I mized in a small amount of parrot food, because they like all the big pieces. They like the rat/mouse blocks, so they get added, too.

Not the healthiest, I know. But I was throwing away so much food that it was gtting expensive to feed them. Now that I only have Milo left, I'm not sure what I'll buy, once the stuff we have now runs out.

After seeing a shepherd come in with a gunshot wound: "You know we pretty much just paid for Ein all over again." (Pats him on the head.) "I'd do it again if he needed us to."

Lesson: Remember to take time to think about what's truly important. Oh, and give your pets a hug.

there are a lot of rat/mouse feed mixes at most petstores. but hey dont never eat the seeds are the alfafa pellets that come in it. they are wastefull. i found out if you dont put alot of food in the dish that more things they dont like end up getting eatin, but be sure there is always food in there for them.
