Spiny mouse pictures
I took pictures of my spiny mice today. I realize Osiris is missing part of his tail...it happend during the first night he was with Isis . They love each other now, though!
Osiris:
Osiris in front, Isis running in the back:
Both trying to fit on the wheel:
Osris on the wheel, Isis saying hi:
The cage is a bit messy right now since it's the day before cage cleaning day.

Call me an idiot but this is the first good clear shot of spiney mice that I've seen.
Now that I think about it I've seen them in a petshop near here.
They're so cute

Well, I think they do . They are not cuddly pets but if well-socialized they can be handled and many can learn to enjoy being pet and beg for treats. I have found them to be extremely smart and they also live longer then fancy mice. It's better to house them in groups because they are so social. Isis was alone for a while because she was the only spiny mouse left.
They are also a ton of fun to watch as they are energetic and playful.
