Yes I do not want a good thread deleted, this is not up for debate, it is just a place for information so pet owners can make a informed choice on bedding. If you know of any other safe bedding, please feel free to post.

While i agree with not using pine with other rodents, kiln dried pine infact is one of the safest substrates to use with degus

Good! I'm glad you put this up! I get so confused about beddings since sites always say different things. But I have been using aspen for my degu (or used to be degus)...good to know!

Your welcome, I wish to also note, NEVER use it in the vicinity of other animals. I was told by my bunnies breeder that Pine was okay. And my rats shared the room with her. She has a litter box on one side and the rats on the other side with their aspen. Yeah, never knew it was air born and now my ratties probably have a respiratory infection and is being brought to the vet next week. Never EVER use pine/cedar, it is not even safe for HUMANS...Don't risk it!! The pets health and yours is worth the few dollars!!

Man I had a whole thing typed out and accidently deleted it...
Anyway, I wanted to post this here even though I made a review on it. This stuff was horrible. It was like I bought a bag full of dirt. I ended up throwing it away and I don't recommend it to anyone. I should have known better because it was Kaytee but oh well. The stuff is called Kaytee Total Comfort, and seriously it has the consistency of dirt or dryer lint or something. Heres a link.
