One of my beloved rats,Blueberry knew how to "dance!".She was a special girly.Anyway I started out with her favorite treats and would get her to stand.I would say "hop" or "dance" and within a couple of weeks, she would do little hops for her treats when I said "dance".

She was the ONLY rat I ever trained however.I did have a couple that came when I called their names, but as far as tricks go...that was all.

I haven't done enough about it latley, but some of my chinchillas comes to me when I call them.
I'm not quite sure how they learned to come, I guess I just said their names enough times.
