What kind of hamsters do you have?? All of mine where moody, like lil red heads and would bite me whenever they got the chance (and dont get me wrong, I have pampered them and treat mine like royalty). I have: teddy bears (Serian) and Campbell's dwarf hamster.

Actually, rabbits are not classified as rodents at all.

They are classified as Lagomorphs.

Out of curiousity...why did you hate it?Rodents are not bad...I hate the word rodent, I mean, the way it is used these days...but they are not bad animals!

I think it was just the visual thing with rodent.
Also, here in Hawaii mice and rats are caught...they are considered pests.
But right before I got your email I was in the garden and had a stare down with a mouse. He looked so cute and innocent.

Hmmmm, makes ya wonder. Give your pets a hug from me.

I voted hamsters as they are the only type of pet I have ever had. I love them dearly. I have considered all the others as pets at some points, but somehow I always stick to hamsters.

I have to say, looking at all the pictures of Vanilla_Rat's babies, I am tempted to drive up there and capture a couple of them. Ryan would definitely not appreciate that though. I will have to be satisfied with squeeing at them every time I see pictures.

Not mine...my rats are way friendlier and affectionate,while my gerbil rather be left alone.She hates to be handled and believe me,I have tried and tried.

As for being active,both my rats and gerbil are active during the day and night.The rats are always begging to come out.My mice on the other hand,rarely awake in the day...

I wish I could have a rat but my fiance won't let me get one( But I have enough animals as it is. I have had gerbils and they are okay but with me they were hard to tame
