This is a list (probably incomplete) of conditions considered emergencies in rodents:

Take to a vet right away:

- Difficulty breathing

- Animal attack

- Serious trauma

- Persistent, uncontrolled bleeding

- Dystocia (inability to pass a baby)

See a vet the same day:

- Not drinking for more than 24 hours

- Not eating for more than 48 hours

- Significant weakness or lethargy
