AprilsMom will become famous soon enough

April does not look right...

Hey everyone,
Please help. Early this morning, April, my doxie, and I were playing with her toy. Then she went into the corner of my living home and threw up. But, continued playing after doing so. So, I thought maybe she just ate something she should not. However, as the day went on she start to scratch all over and I thought maybe she was allergic of something so I gave her a half of children's Benadryl pill (on doctors instructions, she has some allergies. Well, now she is shivering and she has one or two hives. She has slept all day. She is very warm.

You know, while I am writing this, I am thinking I am going to call the vet. But what do you think?

Also, does anyone know what the normal temp is for a dog?

What do you think?

ok I know that the dogs normal temp. in celcius is 38.5 degrees, but you'll need to convert it to farenheit. Your best bet is to get her a vet visit! Keep us updated!

Oh no Liz, that sounds very strange. I remember my vet said a normal temp for cats/dogs was around 102 Farenheit. I looked it up and the norm is between 100.5 and 102.5. I wonder if it's some sort of allergic reaction, since she is also getting hives. Keep us posted and let us know what the vet says.
