Baby Chipmunks

My neighbor just brought over 5 baby Chipmunks. The mom was accidentally killed. The rehab place won't take them till tomorrow how convent. They have eyes open so they are about 26-30 days old I would estimate. Anyone know what I should feed these little guys and how often?. I did a search and each place said something different.

I would call a rehabber and ask them what to do with them in the meantime. If you can't get an answer, I would give goat's milk, probably every 3-4 hrs. I'll try to get you an amount if I can from a friend of mine who does wildlife. Make sure they stay warm, and have as little human contact as possible. A box with a heating pad under it on one side should work well, that way they can move if they get too warm.

My friend said to try rodent pellets, squirrel food from store, or something like that.
She said it sounds like they are big enough to eat on their own.

If they are not looking well, send me a PM tonight (before midnight) and I can try to put you in touch with a rehabber.

Good luck!

Thank you
lol I emailed her also and got the same response. I don't think they are eatting on their own they are sleeping and 2 don't have the eyes open yet. I will do some more searching around. I know these are kept as pets in some places.
