Blood in urine
Dear all. My oldest degus (he is supposed to be 9 months old according to his last owner, but I think he is a bit older than that) urine has turned red. It looks like blood. We have not fed him anything abnormal, red fruits or stuff like that. This has happened once before, 3 weeks ago, when we came home from our holiday. Then there was tiny blood marks on a wooden piece, and we couldn`t figure out why. Now it seems alot more. I checked all of them yesterday and it seemed that the father still had some blood stuck on some of the fur between his legs, after urinating. I could not see any wounds. He lives with his 4 sons who is now 4 months old. Vets in Norway don`t have much experience with deguses, if any, so it would be rerally helpful if you could point out some diseases/problems it could be, so that I can suggest them to the vet. This is so sad. I love him very much. Please help, anyone. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Trine
