chin emergency and no vet


the chin is 1.5 yrs old , female and she is laying limp. The temp is 71/humidity is 58%. I just got the call about this chin and I am stumped. She doesn't have an emergency vet near her. Can you help?

It's impossible to diagnose an animal's illness over the internet...she needs to see a vet. Is she pregnant? Are her ears pink? Does she move at all when touched? Is she responsive at all to treats? More information is needed to determine possible cause.

The first thing I would try if there absolutely is no vet available (there usually is) is a little Karo syrup on the chin's gums. It may raise her blood sugar enough to give her a temporary boost, but w/o knowing more ...

How have the stools looked the last few days? Appetite? Water intake?
