Chinchilla. HELP

Little problem here. My close friend that I gave one of my chinchillas to just fed Bailey a yogurt raisin and after he ate it, he flatened his ears down, took his paw up to his mouth like he's trying to get something out of his mouth, spins his tail around a little bit, and almost jolts his whole body. She checked his teeth, no food stuck anywhere, she fed him another raisin to make sure he could eat and swallow fine and he did. She gave him a pellet and he ate it as well. Every so often he jolts his body though. What could be going on? Is it stupid to ask if chinchillas can get hiccups?

He's not heaving.. Not acting choked up... Whats going on?

I have heard they get hiccups. Maybe he just swallowed the treat down the wrong tube or something.. But its good that hes still eating and drinking.

I noticed my chin does that while eating grapes. She only gets them once in a while because they are her favorite. I thnk she eats some of it and stores some of it in her cheeks...and then she just jolts a little to move the food around. But I am not a chin expert...yet.
