Hamster leg


hi i was wondering if anybody knew what to do about a hamster having a broke or sprained leg. because my hamster tinkerbell has a very hard time moving && has her leg really close to her && she keeps falling on her side when she trys to walk. && i dont know what to do ?

I have no idea but you should probably take her in to be seen by the vet.

wells i had an appointment to take her but at this moment i don't have the money
but im trying my best to do everything right so that she can get better thouqh. for example
you know the little box on top so yu can pet them? wells i have her there so that i can reach her so i can feed her nd give her water. i have her food by her thouqh in case she qets hunqry but the water is still where its supposed to be because i have no idea where else i would be able to put it . but im trying to do my best to keep an eye on her and make sure she is ok.
am i doing anythinq wrong by doing that ?

no you are not doing anything wrong, in fact I would advice you to spend a little time just talking to her to comfort her, because it sounds like she is in a little distress

omg.. my hamster's leg is kinda broken too... but she doesn't really keep it back, she spreds it out kinda, like that leg is to weak to suport the body!! omg i don't know wat to do.. but i have read that sometimes the leg can heal by its self...

P.s. i m a new member... i just joined today.. xD

Welcome to the forum. I don't know what to do for a hamster with a broken leg but I know when my mouse broke her leg my vet told me to let it heal naturally, He couldn't put a cast on it because she'd chew it off. But you can always call an exotic vet and see if the procedure will be different for a hamster. I wish you the best.

Thanks... i hope my hamster heals..... ='( i love her soo much!! she is like my first closely attached pet..... i feel ur pain lytzie! even if ur hamster does die.... it will be in a better place..
