Help my bunny has a huge cyst!!!

From this morning until now, somehow my bunny has developed a cyst on her poof thingy under her chin. It's big, red, and angry, and I don't know what to do. It doesn't seem to bother her, but it's still scaring me. I want to take her to the emergency vet, but my ex-boyfriend doesn't think it's that important. Anyone on here know much about bunnies? If so PLEASE e-mail me (fieryangel99@hotmail.com) or reply to this thread. Thanks!

take her to the vet ASAP--the vet may want to aspirate it and send it to the labs for biopsy. If it's red, it may be an abcess or some type of infection.

Yes my advice is to take her to the vet ..if it is red I would think it is infected or something ... hope she is ok ... keep us posted ..

Unhappy

The vet can't see her until Monday morning It is however looking better this morning. It seems to have gone down some. Hopefully she'll be okay until Monday. I absolutely hate living in the middle of nowhere. I'm just having a horrible week with my pets. I just found out that my 10 year old chin has a malcussion as well!! EEK! Thanks for your advise guys, and I'll keep you updated!

I know my rabbit has had 2 abscesses on his side but they weren't red they were just large lumps under his skin. However he did change his behaviour he ate less and wasn't nearly as playful. As long as your bunny is still eating and is still happy then i don't think you need an emergency vet, just get to a vet as soon as you can to get checked out xxx
