My dog cut his leg open a few days ago, and we can't get him to a vet until this friday. I can't get the bandages to stay on because i don't know how to wrap it... I'm worried about an infection, and it's bleeding... Help

There should be 24 hour emergency vets in your area. He needs medical care ASAP. There is no substitute for a visit to a knowledgable vet. If for some reason you absolutely CANNOT find the time to take this injured dog into a vet to get the care it needs and deserves, then you should at least give a call to one of the emergency vets in your area, and get professional advice.

If YOU can't find the time to take your poor dog in, maybe you can find a friend or family member to take him in?

I hope everything works out for your dog.

I agree there has to be a 24 hour vet near you somewhere, I wouldn't wait any longer, as infection could set in, and that will inturn make the problem even bigger and more costly for you. Try and keep the bleeding to a minimum for the time being, if you have any gauze wrap, and bacitracion lying around, my suggestion is put some bacitracion on the wound, place the gauze wrap over the wound firmly but not too tight, and then take an ace bandage (if you have one) and wrap that around the gauze. Good Luck, but please find a 24 hour vet and take that baby in

Untill you can get her to the vet, clean the cut as best you can, with peroxide too, and put some neosporin or other antibiotic cream on it and wrap with gauze and ace bandage. You may want to shave the area around the cut...that will make it easier to clean and keep clean. Good luck!
