Unhappy

Itchy Mouse

My mouse looks like he has dry skin, mainly on his head, lower jaw, around his ears and the upper half of his back. He is scratching all the time and his hair is beginning to thin. Does anyone know of some affordable remedies that may soothe his dry skin. I saw something about vitamin E cream on the web, but i'm still not sure whether it would be safe. PLEASE HELP before he goes bald!!!

p.s. NO SCABS, NOT BLEEDING OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT JUST DRY SKIN.

It sounds like it could be mites.Either that or he has an allergy.
To get the proper diagnosis and the proper meds for him,you will have to bring him into a vet.

Lisa is right. You could rub some olive oil into his skin. That'll help soothe it, but if it is mites then he will need a vet.
