Mouse tumor
Hi, I havent had time to properly introduce myself, but I will I promise, but my mouse is way more important than that.
My mouse has never been sick before, she has a large cage, cagemates and it is always clean. I have had a mouse or two get a tumor, but they have been the random kind, that any mouse can get, the darker kind, but this is on the lower back, under the fur, and is pink like a jelly bean, small like a tear drop or a water bead. Skin colored.
I always keep everything nice and clean, and nothing I have done different, please help me out if possible.
Thank you all!

Vet care is advisable. Tumors, if it is infact a tumor, can be cancerous or benign (non cancerous). I have a degu with a benign tumor on her chest. My vet advised against operating on it as long as she's comfortable because small animals don't do well under anesthesia. A picture of the lump in question would be helpful. But, once again, only a vet can truelly help your little mouse. Good luck and best wishes.

mousey
My vet knows nothing on what to do, and says operation is risky her not being under a year old. JellyBelliesLG.jpg it is this color, size a water bead, and skin color obviosuly expalining the pink.
It is under the fur. Thank you for replying.

Could it be something like a mole? Is it perfectly round and smooth? Is it hard, soft, squishy, rubbery? Is it moveable under the skin or is it firmly fixed? If your vet said that surgery would be risky, maybe its best just to keep an eye on your mousey and note any changes in skin color, size, bleeding, and such. Or you could try another vet.

It stays in place, pretty firm, like a pimple, but it is pink, with red on it, almost like a jelly bean with freckles.

Usually, benign tumors are soft, squishy, and moveable. It could be cancerous. Is there another vet you could take her to? All I know to do, is watch for new growth, keep it clean if it opens up or anything, and keep her comfy. Could it be an abcess? Abcesses are pockets of infection that result from wounds. Really though, I'm not a vet, I just know things from my experiences and others experiences. If its that worrisome, you should get a second opinion from a different vet.

My exotic vets have no experience whatsoever with mice, and say they can only offer help with hamsters, guinea pigs, rats, and gliders
I dont think one of her daughters did it, their cage is plenty big for their trio, and never have done or shown any agressiveness. They only thing the vets I've called offer, is euthenasia but I think I'll keep her as comfy as possible, and watch it, but if she gets uncomfortable, I will of course do something, but I want to do anything I can to help her, but like the vet also said, she has already gotten older, almost over a year, and theres probably nothing we can do, but watch and keep her comfy. But thank you for replying, it really helps to have someone who cares enough to help.

Just in case it is an absess, I would do a warm compress two or three times a day. It sounds like something my mouse had a few times and I did the compress until in ruptured and went away. As always, I'm not a vet though....
