my magpie is sick

My magpie has been feeling unwell today, I am very worried about him, I have to work tomorow and cant get to a vet, we have bought him inside from the aviary tonight, so he can be warm, his droppings are runny and white, I hope I have been feeding him correctly, my husband read that the preservative in the mince I buy him might be the source of the problem, but little pie who lives with him in the aviary is fed on the same meat, and is fine!!! I remember the vet saying once that magpies need calcium I just wonder if thats what he is lacking
please please can someone help

If nobody replies to your post your best bet is to look it up on the internet, or call and ask your vet.
I hope he's feeling better, best wishes to you and the magpie =\

It's practically impossible to diagnose what's wrong with him from the general description you gave.

Calcium could be an issue, but I doubt it. Hemachromatosis is one thing I always suspect with captive softbills. The only real way to find out what's wrong is to take him to a vet. Seeing the bird and having it right there is essential to good health care. It just can't be done very well over the internet.

Keeping him warm and stress free is a good start, but I'd set him up with a vet visit ASAP. JMO
