Need some advice !
My fox Misty has cold in her eyes and she wont stop rubbing them and its making them worse. Should I put something in them? I have been giving her a little bit of antibiotics. I dont really know if its helping.

i wish i could help, but i really don't know anything about the care of foxes. my guess is that if she is making them worse, you should do something to help clear things up/keep her from doing that.

Yep, I'd find an exotic vet. In the meantime a warm compress can help relieve the irritation.
What antibiotics are you using? Does she have a prescription?

You need to see a vet to see what exactly the problem is and get the right meds for her (or it might keep coming back). In the meantime, if you could get some colloidial silver, you can wipe her eye with that and/or put a drop in twice a day. I've treated many an eye problem with that, including my own. I do emphasize the vet though, because there may be something else wrong with her eye. I had a chinchilla that had to have surgury on his eye last year b/c of something that started out looking like an eye infection!

The votes are all in - find an exotics vet. I hope you are licensed to have her where you live.......or are good friends with a vet. Eyes are so difficult to treat because the wrong medication can make them worse than before.
In the meantime, I agree with Jade's suggestion of warm compresses. Have you rinsed her eyes out with saline solution? That might help some if she has a foreign body in there.
Update, PLEASE!!!

Oooh I agree, a vet is needed..eyes can worsen to an extent where there's just no going back...as for bathing the eyes in the meantime, I'd have used tea.. boil the tea, let it cool. You could ring up a wildlife organisation and ask for advice?
Good luck

The antibiotics can help but I have a question. Do foxes have third eyelids like dogs do? In my breed their eyelashes can grow into the eye and cause them to matter. It is treatable if foxes have third eyelids and this is the problem. They can be plucked or a surgical procedure can remove them. If you know what to look for you can see them but you do need to take it to an exotic vet just to have a look see...
