Ok, I'm not sure how urgent this is, but I wanted to catch some attention and get responses. A couple of hours ago Lucy escaped from her cage, I don't think it was for very long b/c her cagemate hadn't escaped yet, but at the most it was 2 hours. I found her sleeping in another chins bath house and checked her out, everything seemed fine. A couple hours later (now) when I want to feed everyone, I noticed that she was kinda huddled in a corner not begging for the nightly treat so I checked her out more closely... she seems to be in heat, she's a little open and there was some clear/whitish stuff down there. So, 2 questions; 1) will being in heat cause such an attitude change? 2)that gooey stuff (there wasn't much, just a bit caught in her fur) is pretty normal for a chin in heat right (is the correct assumption that she is in heat?)? There didn't seem to be anything else wrong with her, but I know she got into atleast one fight, her neighbor has a bite on his lip, nothing broken or sensitive to the touch, and she had no problem jumping to different levels of the cage, BUT she wouldn't take any treat I offered her and she only moved when I tried to pick her up. She isn't lying on her side like she's sick or hurt, she's just acting wierd and I'm worried. The jump from cage to the floor was about 2-3 feet, but it was carpeted and she did feel well enough to take a bath

I'm going to go to sleep and check on her every few hours and I'll check back here in the mornings so If you have any ideas/suggestions, please post them! BTW, has anyone ever heard of a chin getting pregnant through the bars of a cage...she's VERY fertile...I sure hope not!
