Paralysed Mouse! HELP!!!

Hello everyone.
I'm new to this site but I have a rather urgent problem. One of my mice is paralysed in both her back legs and she isnt really eating or drinking much. She has gotten really thin. I have no idea how this happened and im pretty sure it isnt from injury as thier cage is pretty safe. I have left her in with the other girls right now and im trying to feed her a sloppy mix I concoted through a syringe but she doesnt like it and wont swallow most of it. I know she is in a bad state and im pretty sure that if I take her to the vets, they will put her down. Is that the best thing or is there ne thing I can do to keep her comfortable and living? I have had mice for years and this is the first time this has happened. Im really worried!
Thanx in advance for ne suggestions!

Red face

hi ,
i had a similar thing happen to my gerbil not that long ago.

She was cold to touch and seem to have gotten thin very quickly and her leg were stiff and she had trouble walking. She also was not eating or drinking.

I found out she had a cold so I took her out of the cage and wrapped her in a blanket on my lap to get her warm.
Once she was warm i warmed the cage up with a few heaters outside it and she seemed to get better.

Check to see if it is cold in her cage and if it is heat it up some who and try to warm her up too.

I put a face cloth in her cage and she used that as a bed to keep warm.

Hope this helps and i hope she will be ok.

Thanx for the advice. Her legs arent stiff and I dont think they are fully paralysed either as since my last post I have seen her move a leg twice. I will take her to the vet as soon as I can and in the meantime, she is now eating and she will be with friends. Im hoping the vet can do something to help her but if not, im gonna miss her. she is sweet.
