Please Help Injured Baby Rabbit!!!
I have called just about 40 diffferent vets, wildlife centers and EVERYTHING EVER in the state of CT, and no one will help me...... this rabbit is old enough to live on its own, but it is still a baby yet, it was attacked by a cat, some inards are haning out really bad ..............., and bitten badly on its leg, it is current in my 80 gallon aquarium with water and timorthy hay, and is not panting or on its side, it is walking, but slow, and stops alot and I am so scared.... I know I may have to have it euthinized but I am just so confused, no vets or anyone will help or take it in, I just dont know what to do...

All I can suggest is taking it into a vet, and show it in front of the patients, and DEMAND that they help you. A vet couldn't possibly refuse to help the rabbit, especially in front of customers.

Call the vets, ask if they see rabbits and tell them nothing else! Immediately take it to them and DEMAND an exam. I can't imagine no vets will see it! It needs a vet NOW! Be persistant! Our clinic doesn't refuse anything, but if it's something we don't treat (we don't do large animals) we will send you to someone that does and call them while you are on your way. If you want to save this little bunny, don't take no for an answer.

Do you have an emergency vet clinic any where? I agree I would just take it in to a vet and hope his/her office is packed!! There is no way they will refuse you in front of other patients or take the chance on loosing clients that witness it. Please keep us updated as that is just horrid that a vet would refuse to see any animal in such an emergency need as you describe. I'd be raising the devil with someone.

I'm very glad the little one isn't in pain any longer. It's really disappointing that no vet would take the baby in, though, on simple request. I know that if I were a vet, I would practice most areas of medicine and care and never refuse to take a patient in.
