Red spots on puppy
My 8 1/2 month doberman pinscher has three red spots on her abdomen. On Friday there was one spot, I was a bit worried because I didn't know what it was, but I figured I wait it out a day.
The next day it was gone and I was relieved, but now I noticed she has three red spots. Does anyone know what this could be, I'm really worried. I'll be making her an appointment tomorrow morning, but I kinda would like to know right now if it's something serious or nothing to worry about.

My dog Daisy gets spots like that from flea allergies. She also gets dog pimples sometimes. (That's what my vet called it.)

I don't think it's that. She doesn't have fleas, I checked. Today I checked her again and now the spots have gone to a light brown and are a little bit pimple-like and pussie. I looked on the net a bit and the only thing I could find close to what she has is "hot spots". I made an appointment for her for tomorrow, so I guess I'll find out then if it's anything to worry about.

yes it could also be bug bites like ants or spiders or even mosquitos, I have seen mosquitos go after my dogs. Are the red spots raised or fluid filled?

I wouldnt worry too much until you get a vets opinion...it could be many things, a rash, bug bites, hives...the list goes on. If she is acting normal and eating and drinking and going to the bathroom normally, then I wouldnt worry too much. I would call or see a vet (you mentioned you did) and I hope they can ease your mind. Hugs and I hope she is just fine!!

Well, I just got back from the vet and it's nothing to worry about. It's just bug bites from when she pees outside. They got infected and if I wouldn't have gotten this medication for her it would have spread, so I'm glad I took her in when I did. Thanx everyone.

Well, she's done her medication now, but she has another red spot. I wiped it with wet paper towel and there was a little bit of blood. Do you think it's maybe something else or are the bugs still biting her?

nope, she can only reach grass, which she is digging up by the way. I've found that if I keep the grass really short, there aren't as many bugs to bite her. The red spot has now gone away and she hasn't got anymore yet, so hopefully it's better.

I know that last week I had my 4 month old chow pup to the vet and noticed she had a few small red spots on her tummy as well. The vet looked at them and said it was nothing to worry about as of now. Probably just a rash; however, if they became filled with anything that it might be a staph infection.
