African Lung Fish question

I know your messages are a little old, and I hope you are able to respond. I have a lung fish and it is very hard to find information about them. Do you know if other fish can be put with them? (Ours is about 2 ft long) We would like to put a plecostamus in with "him" to keep his tank clean, I'm afraid it will get eaten. What do you think? Also, any other info you may think is valuable I'd love to hear. Thank you!!!!!! Madgey

IF YOU RUN ACROSS ANY OTHER AFRICAN LUNGFISH OWNERS,PLEASE DIRECT THEM MY WAY. MY FISH DESERVED THE RESPONSIBILITY I WILL TAKE IN EDUCATING ANYONE OF MY 8 YEARS EXPERIENCE WITH THIS ANIMAL. HOPEFULLY, WE CAN HELP THIS SPECIES LIVE ANOTHER 350 MILLION YEARS. AGAIN, THANK YOU FOR YOUR KINDNESS IN RESPONDING.

well from what i understand... a good rule is.. If they can fit it in their mouth, they'll eat it.

I don't know much about lung fish themselves though

AmberC will become famous soon enough
Do you know which species of lungfish you have? Apparantly there are four.

From what I have read... they are an extremely aggressive fish and should not be kept with anything else. I would NOT recommend keeping a pleco with him. If you know which species of lungfish he is can you let me know?
