Betta Friends - Plecostomus

Many people worry about their bettas getting lonely but because of their natural territorial behavior, owners are not always sure what they can and cannot have in a tank with their betta.

Indeed. Common Plecos grow HUGE, Bristle nose plecos "only" grow to about 6" though. However Otos are an equally good algae eater and only grow to about 1.5". A pair of pygmy cories or other smaller varitiety would do well in a small tank of say 5-10G with a betta as well. If you have a 10G a small shoal of smaller tetras or minnows would do nicely as well.
