gestation period in guppies - Paw Talk

if anyone can help me out...... i saw on a website that it was between 22 and 26 days. i'm not sure this is totally acurate, so if you know, could you tell me?

I would say that is pretty accurate, it can be anywhere from 24-31 days. That's how long mine were usually pregnant for.

I go by every 30 days, so once a month a female will give birth. I've found the higher the temperature in your tank, the faster the fry develope inside and therefor the shorter the gestation period.

i have a female guppy that mated with thunder on 5/8 and the temp in the tank is about 84-85 and she is getting huge! i also got a huge female guppy from a breeder that goes to my church. i mean this girl is almost an inch long! biggest guppy i've ever seen. anyways, she gave birth on monday( the day after i got her) while i was at school. the bb's are so cute! they are all eyes! i will try to post a pic later.

Ha ha thats not huge at all darlin. My females reach atleast 2 inches, had one at 2.5 inches.
