I now have a red clawed crab
It wasn't something I planned on, but my sister bought it and gave it to me. She said she felt bad for it sitting in WalMart. Why do they sell things things like that?  I looked up some info online and it does seem like it'll take a bit of care and not something that should be sold at WalMart so I'm going to have to go to the pet store, or maybe a fish store tomorrow to get the right things. Anyone actually had any that could tell me things about them or anything?

Thanks for that. 
I've been reading a lot about them and realize the little guy (even though it looks like a girl to me  ) is going to be some work. I have to wait for my sister to get off of work before I can go get all of what he needs. Since he shouldn't live in 100% freshwater it'd probably be best to go a fish store, so I'm going to see if I can find any around me. Only bad thing is that the info I am finding all seems to be a little different.

Hey,Iwas just up your way this summer,Went to wal-mart in port clinton,wasn't real impressd.
Any way your lil' guys like to hind,they enjoy salty water so you'll need to purchase non-iodized salt.You can get it from a pet store os buy it in the supermarket.Not table salt...
A flter is a good idea that way you can filter out any uneaten food.Petland used to carry one called a shark.They also like warm water,under the tank heaters work fine..and they need too get out but make sure they can't reach the side of the tank or they will crawl out.I have a male and female in my water fall basin..So Cute!!!!

Well, he now has $100 worth of stuff. I really wonder how many people would but a $5 crab from Walmart and spend that much on it. A pet store employee was able to help me out and tell me about how everything works with the salinity and stuff so that was cool.
Hopefully he'll be happy in his new home!
