Unhappy

rye died

Thanks for all the help in helping me diagnose and treat rye but unfortunately he died a little while ago . I wish I felt like I did everything I could but I think I should've done a water change sooner and I didn't. So now I'm stuck with guilt and my first betta gone. I will never buy fish at that store anymore. I'm tired of getting sick fish and them dying on me. He's still laying in his tank. I plan on burying him in my back yard. I just loved him so much

He was a beautiful fish. How long did he live? Also, where did you buy him?

Thanks everyone. I only had him for about 3-4 months. I got him from walmart. I'm not sure if I can say that name on the net so if admin feels like I shouldn't please block it out.

Im really sorry about your betta, i dont think you should feel guilty or like its your fault at all. I work in a fish store and i know that bettas are sometimes very touchy, as are all fish. Also when you buy a fish from the store, we are expecting it to be healthy, and alot of stores neglect to tell us the proper information. Im sure that if you had known of something that couldve been done to save your fish you would have done so. I have purchased fish from a wal-mart as well, actually it was also a betta, a female to breed my male to. She ended up having ich and it killed both her and my male. That was a long time ago, and ive used that experience to better my judgement when buying fish. Again im very sorry about your betta. It's too bad you dont live in canada, or i would pick out the best betta from the store i work at and send him to you
