My litte brother had to keep this little turtle for a boy scout project. He is so cute. I thought I would share his cuteness...

I love turtles...when i was like 6 or 7 we had a three legged turtle....hes so cute..what kind of turtle is he?

Here he is taking a breath. I think he was fasinated with the flash. Sorry they are not as clear as I would like them to be.

I think he is a painted turtle, but I'm not sure. His shell is mossy. His own personal camo.
Aww, how did yours lose his leg?
But here is one more of him and his tankmate, a big craw daddy, that is almost bigger then he is! They are under the log if you can see them.

Looks to me like a little river cooter, they are extremely common in the pet trade and get very big. Painted turtles have red markings on their underside (plastron).

Im not sure how mine lost its leg...my uncle got him for me when i was littler
