weird film on my fish

One of my bettas (i had this problem with another one too) gets this weird film over the top of the tank. I even put her in a tank with a filter. I put a divider up so that two of my bettas could live in it, and her side didn't have the filter, and it got that film again. Does anybody know what this is? Other then disgusting I mean. Do I just have to keep the water aggitated to keep it from forming?

lol, that part made me laugh =]

Unfortunately, I don't know what that film is really called or how or why it gets there. Nor do I really know how to treat it. =[ Perhaps just try changing the water more often?

I had one friend a while back who's fish tank always seemed to get that same stuff too. She got rid of most of it when she changed the water though. ...so that was good

How often do you change the water and what size is the tank?

You might not be cleaning the tank enough. It shouldn't be that harmful, though, so you shouldn't have to worry.
