Woohoo! I may be getting a betta in the future! - Paw Talk

So, yesterday we were at my brother-in-law's house. He has a tank and a very large pleco.

While I was at work I was thinking about his tank. I decided I want a fish. Mainly a betta.

Sooooooo, I asked hubby when he got home. He didn't say no.

For those of you who have read about him, that's his usual response to when I ask for another pet.

He said it's going to have to wait, as we have doctor bills to pay off and such.

But

, I'm gonna get a betta!

LOL Congratulations!! Bettas are such beautiful fish. 8) My sis has 2, one named Thor and the other named... .... LOL.. I don't remember... LOL.. My mom also has one, named Zeus. Those 3 are the only pets in the house that aren't mine.. LOL

Bettas rock! I have two boys and two girls. I love them all. The girls have just as much spunk as the boys too!

Let me know if you have any betta/tank questions? I can suggest setups and stuff.

I love Bettas! I just picked up my 2nd one yesterday!! They are beautiful. And Veggiegirl is full of info, so feel free to suck it out of her

That's great, Crazy Chin Lady! Congrats!

I think the best thing about Bettas is that can live happily in smaller setups with no filtration. The total price I paid for my Betta, food, entire setup, etc. was $15, so with the cost being that low, maybe your hubby will let ya get one much sooner.

I have already picked out what color I want (though the one I had my eye on was sold today) and the tank I want! I'm already deciding what decorations I want in there, too.

Ooooh, you really are excited about it, aren't ya? You go girl! I'm sure you'll find another Betta that's just a beautiful as the one you had your eye on. You know the "if it was meant to be ..." saying.

Z Car Barbie, I'm very excited about getting a betta!

I've never had a fish before, so it should be fun! I'm afraid to go with a tropical fish, like a tetra or anything like that, for fear I'd kill the fish!

It probably won't be until later this year or next year sometime. I'm leaning towards probably next year.

Until then, I can figure out all the decorations I want.

And then beg hubby for another chin in the meantime!
