YAY! - Paw Talk

I am super excited.
I set up my 29 gallon,as I really want a tropical tank again!
I been working on setting it up all week/cycling and everything.

I only have one live plant for now,which is water sprite.
The other plants are those silk ones,which I like.I am going to add a few more plants as well.I want duckweed again and hornwort.I had both,but I had them in with my goldfish who destroyed them...even the hornwort,which I was told the goldfish would ignore! Yeah right!

There is ONE fish in the tank and that is my lone black khuli loach.I have had him for awhile and his friends all died,but he continued to live and thrive.

Anyway tommorrow I am going to buy fish.
I want platties again and maybe guppies.I will see tommorrow.
I also want tetras,so I am gonna decide what I really want tommorrow when I go to the store.I am super excited.I will get pics of the tank soon.

Fish are theraputic!! (I spelled that wrong) and just fun to keep.

Oooh, awesome!!

Make sure you test the water, though. Most tanks won't cycle that fast so be sure it really is

I am going to hold off on getting some fish for another week or so.I am going to let the tank settle a little more.I am planning on buying some more live plants today tho.

Dont forget to add fish a little at a time to give your cycle time to adjust

I decided not to get fish at the moment anyway.
My black khuli loach is in there,but thats all.

haha my tank is therapeutic until some disaster happens with water, or disease.

otherwise i totally LOVE having it! And all the fish are so funny to watch, my hatchets and rasboras LOVE to play in the filter water, and the botias and black khulis are my ultimate fav! Always swimming in funny ways.

I can watch them for hours.
Cant wait to see pics! you should get your khuli a friend khuli in the mean time

I didn't come back and update...my bad.

I eventually got 5 platties.Now I just have the 5 platties and my 1 black khuli loach.I know he needs friends,but they are extremely hard to get here.I actually went to get a couple a few days ago...no luck!

He is doing well tho.

I also got more duck weed.The pet stores get rid of it for free,so I got a bunch.

I will definatly take some tommorrow of my set-up and try and get good ones of my fishies.My camera don't take good ones of my fish close up...

awesome! cant wait to see pics. hopefully you will find some khulis soon! they are so fun.
The pet stores up here in Alaska suck, we only have one good fish store. The crappy stores had normal khuli loaches, they always do, but i wanted black ones. And when they did have black ones they couldnt catch them! it was pathetic. So i eventually ordered some and made sure they didnt put them into tanks before contacting me so i could get my two! haha.

maybe you could order them??
