Yes another pleco fan. i first did buy white spotted pleco for the 55g then he died for no reason then i ended up rescueing this big guy from a pittyful 20 gallon. My pleco in the 35g was sold to me as another common but he's doesnt resemble one, i think he may actually be gibb.
You have zebra plecos!?! I'm sooo jealous, that's my dream fish. No stores carry them here and if they did they would no doubt be priced at way over $90 each. Hows much did yours cost?
Oh and the name is arabasque i believe.

The 50g does have alot of drift wood, but I would have thought is would be done leaching by now Ah well. SO all my fishies look yellow!
O, Zebras aren't cheap, that's for darn sure! $500 for the 2 of them. We had a third but we lost him to ick. Didn't realise he had it till he was so covered he had more spots then stripes. Unfortunatly with a fish that hides alot, it's harder to monitor them. And no one else in the tank was showing any signs of infection Thanks for the spelling!

Yeah i know what you mean. But fortunately ich is never a problem for me. I used to be very intimidated by it, but now i think it's easy to cure.

Guppy girl at $3 he's most likely a common (fancy plecos cost atleast $15 here and are harder to get). But he won't get huge over night. They grow slowly(well my younger pleco has!), a few inches per year. But if yours is in a small tank then it could take longer because he may get stunted which isnt good either. So think of it as an excuse to get yourself a bigger tank for the future.

Great pictures. I wish we could get clear pics like that of our tank, but somehow the lighting is always odd and they blur.

To avoid flash, turn the camera at a slight angel (don't face straight on) away from the tank or slightly up or down so the flash doesn't bounce off the glass. When you take a picture, do not zoom in. You will lose the the clearness and definition. Take the picture at the regular distance away, then use a photo editing program to zoom in on it at that time. You will see you get much clearer pics this way.

Cool pictures! I think it would be neat to have a huge fish tank like that one day, but I'm better off taking care of a mammal! LOL Fish and other critters like Hermit Crabs never did too well with me when I was a child!

I dunno, my common bought last August was about 1.5" when we got him. He is now 7.5" and still going strong. Not even a year old yet! Our gibbies are growing quite quick too.
