One of my rescued females was pregnant and she had babies May 02. Unfortunately I don´t have enough room to keep the male babies as well, so I´m looking for a loving and permanent home for three male degus. I´m located in Wixom, Michigan, if you are interested let me know.
(no breeders, no reptile food)
Neither nor... I made a mistake when I checked and counted them the first time, 6 is a high number :-)
They should never be kept alone though, they need a companion and a lot of room. Their diet is crucial too, they are prone to getting diabetes you really have to take care what you feed them. They are more to watch and won´t get as tame as gerbils for example and chew a lot. A plastic cage can be destroyed in a day.
