I may not be able to keep them, but I might be able to foster and find homes...I hope Angie can take a couple, but I'll know for sure what I can do by tomorrow. I'll talk to Angie about them and talk to Shane when he gets home about at least fostering them and get back with you. I know Shane and I had plans for cage building tomorrow and we have some more houses and apartments to build for Lixx (we didn't forget) So if I can come up on Monday, that would be great! Shane doesn't have to go to work until 6PM and can take the kids with him if I'm a little late getting home. How many are left? Three?
I'm almost 100% positive I can find homes...let me see what Shane says...I bet since he elbowed me in the cheek he won't be able to deny! (I'll just hold my cheek and give him the puppy-dog eyes when I ask him)

Yep, three left. All males. I took a couple 'drowned kitty' pics tonight when they were getting their baths too, I'll be sure and post those.
I need to leave my house by 4pm on Monday, so the earlier the better, btw. It's 20 mins from my house to work one way.

Aww Mandie, how wonderful you and Angie are trying to take these kitties! If I lived closer, I would take one!!
Ok... that had to be said quietly, so Brad doesn't hear!
Aww I bet the bath pictures are cute!

i can't beleive that people just leave defenseless kittens. what if no one noticed them and they starved? i'd like to think that they were strays that someone found and didn't know what to do with, but it's hard to say that when most people KNOW that they have safe dropoffs at the shelter. i'm not pro shelter but it sure beats a parking lot! it makes me mad that people think that they don't have to be responsible but their local ER vet is. who put the vet in charge of irresponsible owners? is that in the fine print of the job description? ugh!
amber
ps-jade, you work at the ER? what do you do there?

"We're sleeping lady, what's the deal with the flash?!"
"Okay, who the heck are you and do you have any food?"
"I'm having a bad hair day."
"Oh how insulting."
I just want to kiss and snuggle them all!!

Bad news...Angie can't take any kittens right now...Corine's fiance (Angie's brother) was shot and killed last night. So, unfortunetly, kittens are the last thing on everyone's minds right now.
I'll keep looking though

I hate when people just drop their animals off somewhere. That's how we wind up strays that aren't socialized and then they're put to death when they go to a shelter because they're not adoptable. I really hope these kittens find homes because they are sooo adorable! I wish I lived closer, but even if I did, we're the maximum of uncaged pets that we're allowed.

Mandie, do you have any interest in fostering them with all that's happened? If not, they'll have to go ahead and go to Animal Control tomorrow morning.

People can be such idiots! Every time I hear about animals dumped, my heart breaks. Little defenseless creatures left alone! UGH!
Steph, I really hope all turns out good for these precious wee ones.

In all honesty, I don't think I can ...we are going to have to take both her dogs now Red and Messiah (Orion's brother) because Corine just can't handle the both of them and the baby with all that has happened. She wanted to try to keep Messiah at first, but the odds of finding a place she can afford by herself are tough enough, finding a place that will allow a pitbull or two as well is darn near impossible at this time. Daniel only had $26 in his pocket and about $100 in the bank so she basically has enough money for formula and diapers for a couple of weeks at most.
If this all hadn't happened, I would take the kittens and foster them, but with two dogs getting ready to move in that really don't like cats at all, we just aren't going to be able to do it. I'm so sorry, but I'm sure they will be adopted out quickly. Kittens usually have a great chance, and they will be in my thoughts and prayers too
